Inspiration for Healthiness came from over 25 years combined experience working within the Health and Fitness industry. We are driven by a passion to  deliver a valuable service to the community and increase health and exercise opportunities for those most at risk of ill health.

Susannah Arrowsmith BSc, MA

         Managing Director/Director of Older Adults Programme

I have over 20 years experience in the Health and Fitness industry delivering personal training with health and educational seminars worldwide. My experience includes working for a successful Exercise Referral programme, reducing sedentary behaviour, liaising with cardiac rehabilitation units to facilitate physical activity education to parents, delivering physical activity to elderly care home residents and delivering training and education workshops to health and fitness professionals.

My qualifications achieved throughout my years include a Masters in Sports Management and Development, Sports Science Degree, Certificate in Personal Development in Cardiac Care and Rehabilitation and a Personal Trainer Assessor. I have attained multiple fitness qualifications as a Registered Exercise Professional, specialising in older adult populations, cardiac care, falls and fracture management and functional training for exercise for health.

Josh Gribben
Community Fitness Instructor

Josh has been working with Healthiness for over two years. He started as an Apprentice and has gained many skills and qualifications whilst working here. They include Level 4 Mental Health, Cardiac Care, Disability and Exercise and GP referrals! He is also a qualified Personal Trainer.

Josh leads the delivery on most of our classes including Boccia, Chair Based Exercise, Circuit Training and Bootcamp to name a few. He always aims to put a smile on the service user’s face with his light hearted personality and says that is why he loves this job.

Amy Burle
Administration and Outreach Worker

Amy has been working on the project for nearly two years. Starting off on a placement scheme from Liverpool John Moores University, she then volunteered delivering exercise classes alongside Josh, gaining valuable experience and qualifications such as Level 3 Personal Training and Chair Based Exercise qualification.

Amy now works as our Admin and Outreach Worker part time while she completes her Sports Development and Health degree. Amy helps out with facilitating the development of new classes and creating strong links with the community and community organisations. She says that she loves working in the community with a range of different people each day.
