Walking and Cycling Groups

At Healthiness, we offer a range of walks and bike rides throughout Liverpool, which aim to increase everyone's levels of physical activity and reduce social isolation. Currently, we have two walking groups and three cycle rides a week.

Walk for Health

Short and easy led walks for people of all ages

Healthiness Walks for Health are a great way for people of all ages, abilities fitness levels to improve their health and wellbeing while meeting friendly new people.

All walks are led by qualified Walk Leaders and health practitioners, so don't worry about keeping up with anyone else! The walks last approximately 1 hour and are no longer than 2 miles in length, but you can stop and start as much as you like and even leave the walk at any point should you wish.

The walks are also Dementia Friendly, making them ideally suited for adults living with or at risk of dementia and their carers.

Cycle for Health

Cycling groups for beginners and returning cyclists

Cycle for Health social cycling groups are ideal for people who haven't cycled in a while and are interested in taking it up again. They are a great way of meeting friendly new people while improving your health and wellbeing! Bikes are available for free hire if you don't have one of your own.

Sessions last for two hours, including around 60-90 minutes of cycling and a half-hour stop for tea and coffee afterwards. Rides are usually around 7-9 miles in length and are led by fully qualified Ride Leaders at the front, middle and rear of the group. Refresher sessions are also available if required. Sessions cost just £2 per person, with all proceeds going towards bike maintenance and refreshment costs.

Please note that places are strictly limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis. To pre-book your place (and a hire bike, if required) please contact us prior to attendance.
