Healthiness is a non-profit health and exercise provider established in 2011. Our mission is to increase physical activity and reduce social isolation of older people and people experiencing physical and mental health issues in Liverpool communities through delivering health messages and offering exercise and health education classes across the city. We are a social enterprise company funded by the Big Lottery's Reaching Communities fund (our broad programme), the Henry Smith Foundation (the Healthy Brain, Active Body project) and Sport England in conjunction with NHS England (the ESCAPE-pain programme).
We offer a wide variety of exercise classes, which cover all ability levels from beginner to expert: chair-based exercise (including chair fitness, chair aerobics, active bingo and boccia), specialist 50+ community fitness (including boxercise, circuit training, dancing, toning, yoga and stretching), ESCAPE-pain for people with arthritis, walking and cycling groups, boot camp and couch to 5K.
